What Prevents Peace of Mind?

What really matters in life?  I think we are all coming to the conclusion that the good job, new car, amazing holidays and money in the bank certainly help but they are not the answer to our happiness.  What do we need in order to feel happy?  What builds our confidence in ourselves, helps us cope with challenges and helps us feel at peace?

For many of us, life is moving at such as fast pace that we feel we haven't got time to enjoy it, to think, to find solutions.  For others, life feels unfulfilling, feels like a treadmill with every day feeling the same with no prospect of change.  Sometimes when life is very stressful, we feel that we just can't cope and it's hopeless.

For many of us, we know deep inside that our past is hindering how we feel about ourselves.  We feel that we can't change the past so we can't change our future.

Ultimately, what we are looking for is peace of mind and the ability to cope with whatever comes our way with an inner strength and confidence.
Why do we struggle to move on from difficult situations?  Why do we feel that we can't cope?  Why do we suffer with stress, depression, low mood, apathy, low self esteem etc?

As we walk through life we collect many experiences along the way.  We like the joyful, loving, fun part of life but we try to move away from feeling the negative aspects of lie - pain, rejection, fear, grief, shame.  Such feelings are very powerful and difficult.  We move on and keep ourselves busy, hoping that these painful feelings will ebb away.

What actually happens is that we store these feelings within our body in chemical form, bathing cells and tissues.  Eventually the body's cells and tissues struggle to work effectively as cell membranes have photons and therefore need light energy to work effeciently - the more negativity we hold onto, the less light we can access hence why we talk about "dark times" or being in a "black mood" etc.  The more negativity we hold onto, the more we struggle emotionally and physically.  We can start to feel drained, listless, have problems sleeping, can't "switch off", even suffer aches and pains as a direct result of our emotional state.

 Is there a Solution?

For anything to happen we need to make changes.   This can feel difficult and too much of a challenge.  We feel that we haven't got enough hours in the day to make any useful changes.  It can all seem overwhelming.  We may feel that we have tried so many things in the past without much success and then we were back where we started.  Fatigue and pain can rob us of any chance to really get to grips with new ways of thinking and living.

When we feel that we don't know where to turn or what to do, then the best solution is to find help, someone who understands the issues, understands the fear involved in contemplating change or facing up to our problems.  Making positive and permanent change can happen, and it is much easier than we may think.  The seven week My Peace of Mind Programme is designed to fit into life, gives positive results quickly and can give a strong and long lasting sense of wellbeing and self confidence.
